About "KMCO"
KMCO, originally founded as Kawashima Toy Manufacturing in 1925, had made and sold various kinds of miniature train, which was mainly geared motor driving, until 1952.
In 1953, it was reestablished as Kawashima Manufacturing Co., Ltd, newly focusing on manufacturing the coaxial connectors for not only microwave communication systems but also cable transmission subsystems, those of which played an important rule on Japanese trunk line communications.
In 1970s, KMCO had capability to manufacture highly reliable coaxial connectors for on-board microwave communication satellites as well as submarine communication systems.
In 1980s, KMCO built up production technology of high precision fabrication
by participating in developing program of Japanese optical connectors.
Furthermore, production of metal packages for microwave integrated circuits
was also started.
In 1990s, KMCO was involved in production of several new items as follows:
fabrication of super precision parts for earth sensor installed in geostationary
satellites, and assembly of fiber stub for OE/EM modules, optical fiber
cords, fiber arraies and expandable uni-pole antenna for mobile phones.
In 2000s, KMCO introduced IEEE-std-287 conformed millimeter wave coaxial connectors by combining RF analysis technology with state-of-art technology based on their long-term carrier for this area.
